The Polish foreign Minister has resigned

Polish foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has resigned. This was told by “Polish radio” with reference to the press Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Poland, Monika Shatinska-Luft.

She said that this decision was prepared in advance: after the presidential elections in the country, according to Chaputovich, it was worth changing the head of the foreign Ministry. According to the press Secretary, the Minister expects that his successor will strengthen the international position of the Polish state.

“The Minister expressed confidence that his successor will continue the current line and will advocate further strengthening of Poland’s position in the international arena,” the radio station’s website quotes her remark.

Czaputowicz has been the head of the Polish Ministry of foreign Affairs since January 2018.

On July 12, it was announced that Andrzej Duda won the presidential election with 50.4 percent of the vote in the second round of voting.
